By downloading, installing, or using StrideMap (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. App Description

The App is a step counter application that visualizes user steps as real-world distances and milestones.

📱 Main Features

• Retrieving step data from HealthKit
• Distance conversion (1 step = 0.8m)
• Achievement display through 69 types of milestones
• Japanese and English language switching
• Step statistics by period (yesterday, last month, last year, past 3 years, all time)
• 8 categories of milestone classification

3. Usage Conditions

3.1 Eligible Users

• The App is intended for users 13 years and older
• Users under 13 require parental consent and supervision
• Only individuals with legal capacity may agree to these Terms

3.2 Required Environment

• Device: iPhone (iOS 18.5 or later) or iPad (iPadOS 18.5 or later)
• Permissions: HealthKit access permission (step data reading)
• Network: Internet connection not required

3.3 Appropriate Use

You agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful purposes
• Not infringe the rights of other users or third parties
• Not misuse the App's functionality
• Not engage in reverse engineering or modification
• Comply with these Terms and applicable laws

4. Data and Privacy

4.1 HealthKit Data Usage

• Read-only access to step data
• Used only for milestone calculation and display
• No data writing or modification
• Users can revoke access permission anytime

5. Disclaimers

5.1 Health-Related Notice

5.2 Data Accuracy

• Step data accuracy is not guaranteed
• Data may be inaccurate due to HealthKit or device limitations
• Use distance calculations as reference values
• Milestone achievement determination is based on estimates

5.3 Service Availability

• Continuous app availability is not guaranteed
• May be temporarily unavailable due to technical issues or maintenance
• Some features may be affected by iOS updates
• Distribution may be discontinued due to App Store policy changes

5.4 Limitation of Liability

The developer is not liable for the following damages arising from app usage:

• Direct, indirect, special, incidental, or punitive damages
• Data loss or corruption
• Loss of revenue or opportunities
• Third-party claims
• Any other damages

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Copyright

The App and its content (text, images, software, user interface, milestone data, etc.) are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

6.2 Trademark Rights

• The "StrideMap" name and logo are trademarks of the developer
• Unauthorized use, reproduction, or modification is prohibited
• Usage that infringes third-party trademarks is prohibited

6.3 License Grant

You are granted a limited license to use the App solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.

The following activities are prohibited:

• Decompiling, reverse engineering the App
• Modifying, altering, or creating derivative works of the App
• Commercial use or redistribution of the App
• Infringement of intellectual property rights
• Circumventing or disabling security features
• Distributing malware or viruses
• Activities that violate laws or regulations
• Other activities deemed inappropriate by the developer

8. Updates and Changes

8.1 App Updates

• We may provide periodic updates for feature improvements and bug fixes
• Applying updates is optional but recommended for security
• Support for older versions may be gradually discontinued

8.2 Feature Changes or Discontinuation

• Features may be changed, added, or removed without prior notice
• Some features may become unavailable due to technical constraints
• In case of service discontinuation, reasonable advance notice will be provided

10. Termination

Disputes related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court in the developer's location for first instance proceedings.

If any part of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the validity of other provisions shall not be affected.

12.2 Waiver of Rights

Failure by the developer to exercise rights under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of such rights.

12.3 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the complete agreement between you and the developer regarding the use of the App.
